Effective June 16th, 2016, Burner Systems International, was acquired by Robertshaw, a global engineering and manufacturing company. This acquisition creates the most comprehensive portfolio of gas delivery products and systems for appliance and HVAC equipment manufacturers.
Burner Systems international was founded in 1960 to produce tubular gas burners for the heating industry. The company rapidly improved upon this technology throughout the 1960s and 1970s, introducing innovative porting capabilities that provided cleaner combustion results. In the 1980s the company added gas manifolds to its product line, followed by aluminum supply tubing in the 1990s. In the past decade BSI diversified even more with strategic European acquisitions, allowing for expanded product offerings that include top burners, thermostats, and value-added sub-assemblies.
In addition to its European growth, BSI has expanded beyond its original home in Rossville, Georgia to include facilities in Chattanooga, TN and Celaya, Mexico.. These strategic locations allow BSI to offer its strong line of products on a global scale when and where they are needed. Multiple facilities also allow us to create custom solutions for our clients and further advance gas appliance technology. Our geographic diversity allow us to be closer to our largest customers, allowing for better service and supplier performance.
In our 50 years of success our work has received hundreds of US and international patents and we have sold over a billion components to the gas appliance industry. We have been recognized as a Top Supplier to many Appliance OEMS and have developed a product suite unparalleled in the industry. We are proud of what we’ve accomplished, and can’t wait to share it with your business.
